SITE ANALYSIS
The site, Hongdae area is always crowded. That's because there are a lot of neat cafes and clothing stores that attract people in the daytime. There're also many clubs and bars for night.
CONCEPT
To promote the art of the Hongik university, it's designed to make those who don't even intend to go to gallery visit there. Extension of resting space is the effective way to do it. The resting space in the museum like cafe tent to be disposed in a corner of the building. People heading to cafe could appreciate exhibition by placing the cafe in exposed space.
And furthermore, I suggest the resting space should be used for cafe by day and bar by night following the context.

These architectural devices induce people to go to gallery and enjoy the exhibition.

Gallery where visitor should focus on works is a different space to crowded outer space. This free-standing wall which has square openings separates two spaces but, makes visual communication.
