I have wanted to be an Architect since I was a high school freshman. Although I didn't know why, I wanted to be an architect at one point. So, when I was high school student, I subscribed to 'SPACE', a Korean architectural magazine.  At That time, It was difficult to understand the contents of the magazine because of lack of knowledge. But I thought reading about architecture was my way to escape from the boring "learning by rote" method. That way, I endured everyday while waiting for the college scholastic ability test.

Sometimes, I used to read an education magazine given out by my school. One day, one page of the magazine hit me strongly. It explains the Pritzker Prize with  the title, "Nobel Prize in architecture, Pritzker Prize". I discovered the Pritzker Prize for the first time.  This last sentence was very interesting to me, it held my attention.

"None of Korean has ever won the prize."

I felt a little sad about the sentence. I think It's similar to the feeling that only one Korean has won the Nobel Prize. But, this sentence has led me until now and forever. So, my dream is to be a Pritzker Prize winner. It may be overambitious. When I was college freshmen, I told a senior my dream. then, He said "you will scrap your dream when you're a older student." However, I still kept my dream alive. Even though I passed out and was taken to the hospital, I never thought of quitting. Whenever I feel exhaustion or fatigue, I want to endure.

"None of Korean has ever won the prize."

This portfolio includes works I have completed so far. A project preformed at the school, a project performed for an internship, a project submitted to a design competition... All of the projects are precious to me. I hope you'll be happy upon viewing my works.
