modern vernacular
Seunsanga is a modern heritage combined with tabula rasa, megastructure and illusion of artificial land. As many modern megastructure have had, Seunsanga has experienced metamorphosis. In the matter of how to handle with metamorphosing heritage, we take two attitudes.

First, an affirmation of history and time of the city’s physical structure, production system and industrial organization. We accept the city’s memory, absorb adjacent context and pursue possibility of gradual mutation. We take precaution against the fact that green supremacy could turn out to be another violence.
Second, maximization of the structural, programmatic possibility and potential of the adjacent contexts of physical spatial structure and economical production system possess. We actively accept the adjacent context which has the possibility for post-fordistic production system of small quantity batch production and vitalize the megastructure through operation method of small unit-aggregation. We accept the land’s history, and intend the continuation of the story inscribed in the place. And above that, the desire of this age is overwritten.

regeneration of urban fabric
Seunsanga is a gigantic violence which has erased an urban fabric of alleys like thread veins that the original city have had, and has ruptured the city as a barrier. In reverse to original intention, it does not connect from south to north, and moreover, it has cut off a city fabric of east and west.
For past several decades, original urban fabric of adjacent context and production organization have ceaselessly fought against megastructure of Seunsanga, restoring the original order by permeating into the megastructure and turning them into small fabrics. The leave of original residential program might have been due to the industrial structure which is unsuitable to accommodate residence, rather than due to the lag of residential facilities.
City should be recognized as a process, not by a reification as a thing. People who realize cities by reification as a thing, sweeps out original urban fabric, and forms tabula rasa, and create something new. It is a methodology of creative destruction. We infiltrate urban fabric of alleys of adjacent context into Seunsanga, and scale the megastructure down to the scale of alleys. Thus, we hope to recover the continuity of urban fabric, and to reconnect the east-west urban fabric by permeation of vitality of adjacent context.
